Blogaversary Giveaway, Year Two

Comments are now closed.  Thanks for playing!

I've been thinking about what to do for the giveaway for at least a month and planned and discarded several ideas.  To me, handmade is best, so that's what I decided to do.  I gathered and rejected a number of fabric combos in my stash until my hands laid on fabric I had yet to cut into--it is primarily green and red, of course, my favorites.  As soon as I began to pull companion fabrics, I found myself smiling.

"Fresh Blooms" tablerunner from the pattern booklet "On the Run", by Heather Mulder Petersen, 17 x 51".

The teapot print is the treasured yardage and includes the name of my favorite tea, Earl Grey. These colors, the whimsy of the prints, the variety of dots, even the lack of a border are totally me!

This is still just a top and will be machine quilted.  As I did last year, I'll give the winner the opportunity to choose the binding fabric:  either the white print with green dots like the sashing, or this brown and white wicker print.  There will be other special surprise somethings tucked in with the tablerunner...

To enter my giveaway, no fancy dance moves are required.  Leave a comment letting me know your binding preference, and answer one more question:  What color combination is totally YOU?

The giveaway will be open until Friday, February 11th.  Comments will close at 5 PM Pacific Time and I will pick a winner by random number generator that evening.  Be sure I have a way to contact you, as 'no-reply' commenters bum me out!  If you do not have a blog, contact me by email at the address in the "About Me" section on the right just under my blog header.

Happy Blogaversary to me!

I am so excited to be the first one to comment! Congrats. on your anniversary - I didn't realize it had been so long! I love reading your blog and seeing your beautiful work.

If I won, I would choose the white fabric for the binding. As far as favorite color combinations - I don't think I have any. I do like bright colors though!

I'm happy to be first.....or not! Does the random number generator ever pick number one? Anyway, I don't know which binding I like better, I'd let you choose what you thought was best :) The colors that are totally me right now are bright, fun colors. That seems to be what I'm into right now. Thanks for the chance....by the way I must be at least number two by now.

Happy, Happy Blogiversary, Annie. Tablerunner is adorable - I'd select red binding because red is my favorite color. ;-)

My favorite color combinations keep shifting, but usually they're toward brights or warm colors. I love blue and yellow together, too. In fact ... there's not much I don't like! Should I be lucky enough to win your wonderful table runner, I'd want you to choose the binding.

Congratulations on your blog anniversary. I've enjoyed reading your blog and browing your lovely projects. If I win, please use the white with green polka dots fabric for the binding. My favorite color combinations usually have some greens and blues. However, I like lots of variety and switch around color combinations. Thanks for such a sweet giveaway. alternate email mlwright29 (at) hotmail(dot) com

Happy Blogaversary! As always I'm the odd ball, I like the wicker print best. I love black and red together, but I would have to say my fav is green...green with anything.

Great idea for a give away Annie....I'll take the white/green dotty binding thanks...LOLOL....colour combos that are totally me...hmmmmmmm....it all depends on my phase/mood really....muddy repros at the moment...but I also like white with anything....especially brights.....and of course red/white you can't beat that for a combo. Can you have lots of "favourites"..??

I'd defintely go the dots!

Ummmm a colour way that is totally me? I only said to Mr. P last night - I like anything that has every colour in the rainbow in it. I guess that means Im a bright in your face girl.

Every time I try to work with pastels I end up grumpy with the project ..(and you all get to listen to it )

Congrats on your blogavearsary!! Have enjoyed your blog.

I can't believe you are giving this awesome runner away....but I will be more than happy to take it off your hands.

I love the polkadot binding.

My favorite color combinations are naturals....but you can't tell by the fabrics I chose, I tend to go bright....am I contradicting myself? Hummmm maybe I should rethink your question.

Happy blogiversary! I would choose the white with green polka dots and my favorite color combos are earthy. Although, I do venture into brights once in a while.

Happy Blogaversary!! Here's to many more years.
I love the table runner and would choose the darker, wicker print as the binding fabric. My favorite color combination is anything and red! Congratulations.

I like the idea of the spotty binding.
Blue and white would be just totally me. So clean and fresh looking.

I really like the white with green poka dot, very cut! My favorite color combination would have to be yellow and red (or shades close to) they are so bright and fun I can not resist.

I love what you put together for this very sweet table runner! The binding would look nice if it was the same as the sashing. My colours, believe it or not, are combinations with deep red, orange and green - I am actually making a lap top with them for the last two years - LOL!!

Congratulations on the 2nd anniversary of your blog. I always enjoy visiting, whether I'm reading your Tuesday gripes, checking out your latest project, or hearing the latest delightful story about your family.
Your tablerunner is as cute as can be, but I'll pass on this giveaway. I was the lucky winner of your two personalized Christmas tree stocking ornaments, and it's someone else's turn to enjoy your generosity.
Happy Blogaversary, AnnieO.

I like the polka dot binding. I have been making a few baby quilts lately, or should I say grandbaby quilts, and they all have had polka dots.

Dot of all colors with bright back grounds seem to be my favorite fabric-this week.

I think I like the dark wicker fabric for the binding. I am a person who loves the color combo green/teal and pink/brown. I think that your table runner is very sweet!

I like the white with dots as a binding. I love brights, but my husband does not. This would be perfect for our table and he would love it too. Congrats on you blogaversary!

Congrats on two years! I love the white with green dots that you used in the sashing - it would make the perfect binding. My favorite color combos are red and brown - so much blends with those warm shades.

Happy 2 year blogging!! What an adorable table runner. I think the green would make a terrific binding.
I'm a scrap girl through and through and it is so hard to pick a fav fabric combination. If I was forced to, I'd say red and blue.

I am over here all the time, but I don't think I popped my head in for the blogiversary party?!?
The colour combination that I like the most is bright and happy colours, with or without white.
I like both the wicker and the dots for binding...I am no help at all!

Happy Blogaversary! Not being a blogger myself, I really appreciate those of you who take the time and effort to do so. I rarely watch TV, so blogs are one of my main forms of entertainment.
The tablerunner is lovely. If I were to win I would like the brown binding. My favorite color combination is red and green - I love Christmas quilts.
Thanks for a fun giveaway!

Happy Blogiversary! I prefer the wicker for the binding. My favorite color combination is sage green and a deep plum. I love those two colors together.
