Pearl colored silk combined with a stash fat quarter of a Japanese woven in a dragon print.
Some simple meandering with a variegated Sulky thread.
This time I matched the fabric triangle pull tabs to the lining, then cut more steel measuring tape to insert into the casing and sewed up the sides. Voila, a classy gift bag I hope one of the Bunco gals will love. We have lots of fun "stealing" already opened gifts throughout the night's games. Lots of laughter and food and drink on the agenda for tonight, as always!

What a neat gift idea that could be stuffed with all kinds of things - I keep meaning to pick up that pattern and it's about time I do :)
I have the pattern and have never used it -- how stupid is that? Using the outdated samples from JoAnn's is a wonderful idea! I'm sure the bag is going to be "stolen" a lot tonight.
These are always nice! Great gift!
I am quite sure that whoever is lucky enough to end up with this prize will really love it.
What a great idea!
No pressure...but...I missed the Tuesday Orts!!
I made several of these last year...they are so much fun to make and easy..perfect gifties.
I need to learn to play Bunco! Who wouldn't want to "steal" that cute bag, Annie!
Cheers!
Lovely bag Annie. I wish I could meander.
Have fun stealing at Bunco (sounds very naughty and almost illegal !)
Oh, great idea -- and it looks marvelous!! Hope you had a great time! :)
Sounds like a great time! How many times did your contribution get stolen?
I love that fabric you used! Very cute bag. How many times did it get stolen?
Oh Annie, this is absolutely 100% beautiful. Really stunning. What a great great job.
I like your bag!! I still don't understand how you get the steel measuring tape in there...
