The Chief

Dr. P gave me permission to post pics of him with the Jollas de la Mar quilt I made him.

Here's "The Chief" pose.

And his more usual state, "Smiling Doctor".

We are packing up and preparing for our final goodbyes to the beachside office.  We made it through our final luncheon with only tears of laughter, thankfully!  It is hard to think that a journey I started in 1991 with this practice is over; Dr. P joined the practice in 1997 but I didn't work for him until 2007, and was appointed as a manager in 2008.  The last four years have been very full of ups and downs but through it all we have kept our sense of humor and as a staff have enjoyed working together with only a minimum of drama.  I doubt I will ever encounter a group of smart and funny ladies such as these again in my working career, nor a boss as generous and fun.  Thanks for the memories!

The quilt is stunning and he looks so happy! It is so hard to leave a job you enjoy. At least you did have a lot of laughs and those memories will last a life time!

What a nice gift for him, he must also know how you labor over them, I'm sure you have brought your work in before, right?
I know what it is to work in a place where you are appreciated, and laughter ensues right along with the work. When you have had a job that is otherwise, you appreciate a healthy workplace all the more.
Does this mean a bit of time off, or are you looking for work now? (I'm sorry if you have already answered those previously, I may have missed it!)

He wears his gift well. You did a great job on the quilt.

Enjoy the time left. It's a hard time, but it always seems like where one door closes, another opens. Unfortunately it's never the same interior design behind the door, but it does make life interesting. Good luck and hang in there.

The quilt is beautiful Annie. I feel so sad that a good job with good people is ending for you. I hope you will be blessed with another wonderful opportunity.

He looks pretty happy with the end result! I think it's gorgeous.

Here's hoping you're blessed with another job with people as wonderful as this job!
