Turkey Day Prep

After spending some time this morning making my checklists and breaking down the "To Do's", I'm feeling good about my Thanksgiving Day plans.  We will be 18 this year (at least) so that takes a lot of furniture moving and job assignments in this not-so-big house, to fit us all in comfortably.  Luckily we have done this A LOT--routine occurrence in a big family!  The shopping is now done, thankfully, and I'll get started on food prep on Monday night.

Unfortunately, I'll hit a large snag on Wednesday.  Our receptionist has taken the day off, which means I have to be her and get to the office around 8:00 and stay til 5:00.   I'll be counting on offspring to help out.  Cheerfully, if possible.

On other fronts, Erica made a recent purchase of some headwear for cat heckling (as previously demonstrated):

Neither Amelie

nor Mini seemed to think it was flattering in style or fit.  Do you?

Hmmm they are less than impressed, maybe the colour wasn't quite right, lol. I've seen that look before on my fur babies.

Cats dont have much of a sense of humour in my experience and they know when youre poking fun at them. Erica should probably watch her back. Last time I heckled a cat it urinated in my handbag...just sayin'.

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving. 18 people sounds like a lot of cooking!

Just stopped by to catch up on what you have been up to. I love your cinnamon & cheddar. Good luck with your big Turkey Day crowd. I'm sure your family will all pitch in. And, yes, you must still make jello....and that green bean fried onion casserole thing. At least that's what my grown kids tell me.

My family here is just the four of us...maybe three of son #1 stays up at school to work. I miss the big meals with all. Since just the three of us likely will eat out and a movie..seems to be a standard the last few years. Have a blast!!!

Wow, 18 people. I bet you have a lot of fun with all those family members. I bet there is some drama also.

The cats dont' look very happy at all! My daughter bought a chicken head hat for our kitten - he didn't seem to mind! Cats - go figure.
