These half-square triangles were leftover from a Pineapple Blossom quilt I made my mother in law for her 90th birthday three years ago. Last summer I made table runner with a bunch of the HSTs but still had a few left. I came up with this fun zig zag layout and put them in a baggie. Recently I pulled them out again and trimmed up to 3.5". I'll put them in pairs and use them for leader-enders.
Two selections from a successful hunt for yellows for the Pink Lemonade, found in the Primitive Gatherings booth at the Road to California show. I'm leaning towards the upper yellow but like both. See more design walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

I like what is on your design wall....
Don't you just love leftovers, Annie? Both new yellows are great, but I tend to agree with you - the bottom yellow makes it more Civil War, the top makes definite Pink Lemondade!
Cheers!
I like both of your fabrics but the top does read more yellow to me. Could just be the photo or these old eyes...
Leftovers are so much fun.
I like the red zigzag! The yellow is my favorite, too.
Glad you found a couple yellow options you like better. It's always so exciting to find what you imagine. Although, I liked the blocks laid out side by side too. Maybe you just need to make two :-) Congrats on using up the leftover triangles too.
Nothing makes a quilter feel better than using up the leftovers. Your PL is going to be wonderful, you have some nice choices over which to deliberate.
Great way to use up "left overs". Leaders and enders projects are additive I've discovered.
Love your blocks and to have enough left overs for another quilt top, very nice job.
Love the red and white HSTs for valentines day :) So many things you can do with HSTs.
I like the upper yellow, too! Fun things on the wall today!! :)
I like the top fabric the best for your yellow. Love your zig zag start, too.
I like the top one, too - very cheerfully yellow! I love leftover HSTs - I always feel like the hard work has already been done and I can just play with them.
Oh my goodness! I've got some of those half square triangles leftover from a Pineapple Blossom quilt too!!! What a fantastic idea!!! I'm going upstairs to play with them thanks to you!!!
