I have plenty left of the $7 100% cotton twin sheet from Target's Room Essentials line for the backing as well as those borders.
Striped bias binding will be a nice finish for a summer topper for my sideboard or coffee table.
Next I switched to finishing the applique on the Party Time tablerunner, also from the On the Run book. I went for subtle with pink thread buttonhole stitched around. This is the third project I made from one charm pack of Boutique by Chez Moi. I love this line of fabric from several years ago.
A bright green dot backing and a striped bias binding will finish this one off. Right, I'm off to wash and iron backing and pull batting to get these pin basted into sandwiches today!
My thoughts are with all of those affected by these terrible storms of the past week. The devastation shown is mind boggling in it's range across the States and it seems Mother Nature is hell bent on more destruction in the next few days. Sending courage and virtual support!

Beautiful! I love both of these patterns AND the fabrics. Wonder if one could find any of that fabric now. Hmmmm.... :) May have to check out that book too. :)
Wow I am impressed two very nice table runners!!! Sounds like a book I should look into
Kathie
Oh goodness you are off to a great start! The second runner is PRETTY and reminds me of a candy roll...yummy!
Very nice little table runners! I love striped binding! Will look so cute. : )
When all else fails...swap out the projects for success. :o) They're terrific. Daughter in Cincinnati called Friday eve to let us know she was OK. Airport closed, tornado sirens blaring, campus relegated students to secure areas. Tornadoes are nasty business.
What great table runners. I love them both. Very eye-catching and gosh, that appliqué work you did on the ends of the 2nd one is super awesome.
Heather's patterns are fun to make, and the results are so pretty, as your table runners show. Super fabrics in both.
Great beginning to your month.
Spring is in the air, especially looking at the 2nd T-runner.
Great projects - it's always good to finish, 'cuz then you can start something new, guilt-free *s*
Love the party time runner - the appliques on each end really make the whole runner sing, IMHO.
I love the runners. May have to look for that book. Runners are a quick and satisfying project.
I fell in love with the Boutique line too but never did buy it. (Too much other fabric in the stash methinks )
Both of your table runners look gorgeous but the second one is my favourite of the two.
Love both runners! Way to start off the month on the UFOs!
Wow...you are really sprinting this month for two early finished! Great job! Love the striped bindings...my favorite!
Both are great runners, I really like the added applique on the Party Time runner!
Love that little Party Time runner--the colors are so happy!
