Getting it Done Update

Oh dear.  I was a bit too ambitious for this short month, as well as distracted, for Judy's Getting it Done challenge.  Well, there was some movement on the list of four things for February, anyway.  The list included:
  • Complete custom quilting on Caramel Blues quilt ==Not done. I did, however, buy the matching threads and think about how I wanted to finish this project off.
  • Complete Pinwheel Garden quilt for Shoppe==Not done.  I did, however, make sure the batting and backing were ample enough for the top, and washed the binding fabric.  I may even have made the binding--I can't remember!
  • Complete 10 wool applique blocks==Not done.  Two were finished for the month and some of other block pieces cut out of wool.
  • Lay out Picnic blocks and assemble top==The layout and switcheroo portion was done.  I have sewn together five rows but have seven more to go.
Greenpiece BOM wool applique block.
For March, the above four items are going to be carried over.  I think I'll go downstairs right now and get set up to pin baste two quilts that have been hanging around, including the Pinwheel Garden quilt.  Then I'll prep a bunch of the wool applique blocks.  They do stitch up pretty fast!

Even though you didn't 100% completely finish your goals you got a great start on them.

Isn't it awful how time gets away from us? You still accomplished quite a lot this month, I'm amazed at all you do get done! Good luck with the job search by the way I know how stressful that can be.

I don't even dare make a list of monthly goals--too discouraging when I see how little I get finished.
Love your wool applique.

February can be over in a blink of the eyes. You still did a lot this month, though you didn't get everything done that you wanted. Carrying over to next month--good plan. You already have a great start.
I'll enjoy watching your progress on the wool applique. I haven't done that much and just enjoy it through osmosis and observation for now.

Feb was just too short!
Love your projects - goals are just opportunities...

Don't beat yourself up, February is the shortest month of the year. The great thing about quilt UFO's is that they're patient! I love that wool applique, it's wonderful.

Progress is progress. Since you've done the getting ready part, it should go faster this month.

You made good progress Annie and that's what really counts.

I didn't get most of the things on my list done in February either...I lost three days and I dont think that helped (that's my story and I'm sticking to it !)
