Tuesday's Orts on Thursday--thoughts and events that land here occasionally...
- Caught this funny cloud coming back from lunch break.
- We've been back working in the office for a month. It has been an adjustment but there are fewer technical difficulties to curse at from home! There are a few new employees whom I don't know at all, but it is good to see the familiar faces I've worked with for 6 years.
I don't know if it was an old or new employee whom I can thank for this entertaining misspelling of umbilical. LOL- Returning to wearing scrubs for work hasn't been bothersome, but I 've had to get used to wearing makeup daily again. Since we wear masks all day, I only have to apply eye/eyebrow products.
- Mini would prefer I stay home with her, I'm sure. I'm getting the steely-eyed glare in this pic because my cross-stitching equipment was blocking her preferred position on my lap.
- Traffic Rant: While there seem to be fewer drivers on the road on my commute, the tailgaters are still well-represented among them--of every age and style vehicle...
- Six years ago I was attempting to Kon Mari my sewing room and came across these vintage promotional sewing items of my mother-in-law and grandmother.
I would love a vintage photo of the Perma-Kurl Beauty Shop!

Definitely looks like your MIL and grandma got around!! HA I love that misspelled word-too funny. And OMG if tailgaters is all you have to deal with, you are golden. People weaving side to side, often out of their lane and into mine, people going 20 in a 40, race track drivers..insanity around here.
Can so relate about returning to work: traffic, ugh. Lucy, my kitty was usually happy with me being home more, However; she had a thresh hold when I got on her nerves and she was happy for me to leave the house for a few hours.
Had a chuckle over the misspelling. :)
Mini seems to be eyeing your stitching supplies while the wheels are turning in her head as to how she can get rid of them.
What a fun little collection of sewing kits.
Fun post on a day in the life - your kitty has such a sweet little face!
I live in a rural area and have so many tailgaters! sometimes I like to slow way down, then they can pass me and go on and to the car.
unbiblical, lol
Our work has gone to masks only required if you can't be more than 8 feet apart in meetings or offices. It's been an adjustment. I bet Mini had to adjust a lot to her person not being home to cuddle with. Your new scrappy triangle project is really fun. Happy stitching this weekend.
Your photo of the cloud looks like an ostrich head!
Such a funny misspelling! You could send that in to some magazine or website!
