It needs binding and a label--this will be the fastest UFO finish for me so far. It's a very small quilt so that's not exactly a record breaking feat!
I promised Carol of Brown Quilts two pillowcases and got those finished as well. I used two different methods. The piano key band one was from allpeoplequilt.com's free patterns for the One Million Pillowcases challenge. My alteration to the construction was to do French seams on the body. I also overcast the edges on the piano key band seam once it was attached. The other I made from maryquilts.com's sharing of a pillowcase construction method that results in all the seams being enclosed as well, and is super fast to make. I bought a white cotton twin flat sheet from Target (Room Essentials, $7.99 on sale) and have enough left for probably three more pillowcase bodies. That line has other nice colors and I'll watch for the next sale. See more design walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

Pretty quilt, I love this pattern. I haven't made pillow cases yet but those are very cool. I think that sale at Target sounds great, with I had one around here. :(
Great projects. And thanks for the terrific idea to use a sheet to make the pillow cases out of.
You have been busy! Love the pics of Tommy with his quilt. It's so great to see a quilt get a good home.
The quilt looks great, I love the colors!
What a great idea -- use a sheet for the base of the pillowcase! I have always hesitated to make pillowcases because I find regular fabric too scratchy to sleep on. This is perfect! I think it's good to enclose the seams, too.
Also, I like the way you chose to quilt your strippy quilt -- it works very well with the design.
Very patriotic looking pillow cases Annie. I love them both.
The Amish quilt looks wonderful-those colours completely pop against the black.Congratulations on the record breaking finish.
Congrats on the finish...perfect quilting idea for this design!
WOW, that's an AWESOME idea using a sheet for the pillowcase. SO economical!! Will hafta look for some. I have been using the sausage pillowcase method (from youtube) and it creates a nice finished case as well. Love the quilt also.
Congratulations on finishing your UFO! And I love the pillowcases. Thanks so much for sharing the links.
Congrats on the UFO finish. Very pretty! I love the brights with the black. Great pillow cases too.
