Design Wall Monday

I missed last week's Design Wall but here I am again!  Work on the July UFO Challenge pick happened yesterday.  I got all the rows assembled of Judy's Mystery Quilt.

Three rows are now together.  I really love this design and am happy my fabric choices worked out for this Mystery! Mini assisted with the photography this morning.  I love her question mark tail.

Here she is sticking her head into the frame.  Good thing she is a small cat.  So far everything is lining up well in the construction.  I'll get the remaining rows together tonight, I hope, for a completed top.  Only 13 days left to finish this before the deadline.

The leader-ender project is coming along.  This will be one WILD quilt.  I'm thinking of giving it to my co-worker, who just found out she has a malignant mass on her thyroid and has to have surgery--she is only 35 and is married with two young children.  The doctor said she has a type of cancer that has a high recovery rate.  She loves modern prints and colors and may love this, but I'll have to bring the top and see what reaction she gives.  See more Design Walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

I think your idea to give the qild quilt to a co-worker is perfect. How could she fail to smile when she is assaulted by all that colour!

The mystery quilt is really beautiful Annie. Those colours work so well together!

Probably 75% of the pictures I take of my quilts have my cat Tigger in them. He has special quilt radar, I think. I love your mystery quilt - so classy! And the "wild" quilt is just fabulous. I love bright and cheery color combinations - the wilder the better. Did you have a pattern for that one or is it flying by the seat of your pants time?

That's a good looking mystery quilt, even with the addition of a wandering feline here and there.

I'm sure your co-worker will love and appreciate a wild surprise quilt. And she'll love you for your generous spirit. It's going to be a pretty L&E project.

I love your mystery quilt Annie.
The leader ender project is a riot of colour, I think it would be perfect for someone who loves lots of colour.

That Judy's Mystery quilt is so neat with a 3-D effect!

I am not getting much computer time in these days but I think of you and wonder if you are going to the quilt show in Long Beach tomorrow.
