Half the rows are sewn together and six more are left. This is going to be a nice big quilt--it is already 68" wide before borders. However, for the UFO Challenge purposes, I only assigned myself completing the top.
The Picnic leader-enders are piling up. I found it much easier to start on the side of the segments than the top. The painter's tape guide is working out very well.
Picnic parts all paired up and ready to sew...the ruler made a nice transport vehicle from cutting table to sewing desk :)
Here are the first eight blocks. This block would be fun to do in a single color, too, wouldn't it? Six blocks would make a perfect sized placemat. See more design walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

That nine patch zig zag is sooo tempting.
Great show and tell today, I love the nines but that Picnic scrappy is calling to me! I do love that one; please, tell it to quiet down!
Your ZigZag 9-Patch is awesome! I really like the look of that -- a fun, scrappy quilt! Your leaders/enders project makes cool blocks, too ... have to keep that in mind! :)
Your 9-patch zigzag is turning out so great that it is tempting me, too.
Double time progress...great job!
Your 9-patch looks great - the picnic scrappy looks very tempting.
Thank you for sharing
I like the way you put that together and love the scrappiness!

Im loving the 9 patch Annie. It's coming together beautifully!
That is my favorite quilt in Kim's book. Pretty colors.
The 9 patch is a winner!!! Love that. And your block are very cool. Love the fabrics.
Great zig zags, Annie! Do you slice off the bits that are at the top? I also love that quilt by Kim and your color choices!
Cheers!
Love the Picnic blocks. The zig zag 9 patch is looking great. You are moving right along.
Both scrap quilts are great, but the ZigZag 9-patch is my favorite of the two.
It's interesting how different your 9 patch quilt is from the one previous and yet they are both stunning. Fabric is such a wonderful creative medium.
I really like that zigzag 9-patch! It's going to be such an interesting quilt because of all the different scraps. I think scrappy quilts are my favorite.
