This finished Shoo Fly quilt top with my assistant Mini has been shown before...
...as has the backing print. I'm planning to do a very simple wavy line up and down the quilt spaced about 1.5 inches apart. The quilt designer which inspired my version finished her quilt that way (Malka Dubrawsky's Oversize Shoo Fly), and I think it is a nice modern finish for the intended young modern couple. Naturally I meant to have this done weeks ago, but there it is :) See more Design Walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

Oh, Annie, I wish you well with your "rush job". Nothing like pressure to finally get moving on a finish! : )
I like the backing choice. You'll be able to see the fabric whole instead of cutting it to bits. Perfect the the huge-ness of the blocks.
cute backing..good luck with your rush project.
I guess when you showed this before it didn't register in my brain how big the blocks were. This is just great for a modern couple.
The squiggle quilting is just what it needs. Good luck to you and the happy couple!

Yep...I know exactly how that goes! Deadlines are great motivators! Love that backing...so fun!
Here's sending you wishes for reaching that goal, Annie! I really have no doubt you'll finish with time to spare...!
