Road to California

I never got around this past week to sharing some of the quilts exhibited at the Road to California 2013 show.  All photos are from that show.

Don't you just love this exuberant neighborhood of stately homes?

  Really cool pictorial quilt.

Love the ghost palace in the air.

Fun zebra, right?  A whole herd of these would be a riot.

Lots of well known quilters' work was in another large exhibit.

This lady was a featured artist.  This was one of my favorite of many "house"quilts on display.

I'll split this up since there are so many photos. More to come in the next post!

Beauties! When I belonged to the Fallbrook Quilt Guild Arlene Stamper taught a double wedding ring class. She's a great teacher and a talented lady.

I loved seeing these. :) I have drooled over the Blackbird Designs houses since that book came out. I can only imagine how gorgeous it must be in person, as well as the other lovely quilts.

Im always in awe of pictorial quilts but I dont think I have the patience to make one. I love the colours in that one though.

I wonder of house quilts are the next big thing?

Thanks for sharing the pics. The zebra quilt is so fun - not one I would make but would love to see in person.

Last year I was able to go to R2C and enjoyed it so much - I was thinking about it the other day. Look forward to more pictures!

Amazing! Wonderful pictures and I love that you took pictures of the information about the quilts too. Just as important as the quilts themselves! Thank you!
